Tockwotton has topping out ceremony
The Tockwotton home, currently under construction on Waterfront Drive adjacent to Bold Point Park, held a "topping out" ceremony on January 18 to celebrate the placement of the structure's last steel beam. Gov. Lincoln Chaffee, Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts and Mayor Bruce Rogers were among the special guests, which also included the opportunity to sign the beam before it was raised into place. Tockwotton on the Waterfront was designed by DiMella Shaffer Associates of Boston and will house 156 units, with an assisted living component and a separate component for residents with Alzheimer’s or impaired memory problems, and a skilled nursing care unit.. The building is on track to be completed in December of 2012. For more information on the untis and application process, please see the Tockwotton Home webpage. |
