City Council approves Waterfront District zoning amendments

On May 21, 2019 City Council amended Article IX of the zoning code to update use tables and expedite approvals by converting uses previously designated as “conditional” (requiring hearing approvals), to by right.  Although changes were initiated for the Phillipsdale sub-district to facilitate leasing of Phillipsdale Landing to smaller start-ups including design and fabrication businesses, uses were amended for many districts for consistency.  Amendments were also made in administration, parking requirements, signage standards, and affordable/inclusionary housing.
