The East Providence Waterfront Commission was created by the RI State Legislature in 2003 and is a quasi-governmental organization.
MISSION:
The Waterfront Commission exists to help private and public developers transform the City’s coastline, while striving to achieve the following:
• Environmental improvements
• Public access to the water
• Economic development
• Positive fiscal impact
• Mixed-use development
• A quality product
• Community sensitivity
